The story of Queen Esther is another example of when the wisdom of God brought honor. Queen Esther was by God to save her people, a woman “chosen for such a time as this.” When alerted of Haman’s plan to kill the Jews in her kingdom, Esther went against royal protocol and entered into the king’s court unannounced. The king (because of God’s favor) pointed his scepter at her and allowed her to enter. With wisdom, Esther invited the king to a banquet (Esther 5:2,4). She didn’t enter his presence “bad-mouthing” Haman. Not, that would not have been godly wisdom. Instead, wisdom said, “Please come to dinner.”
