The Roman centurion recognized Jesus’ authority, and he accepted Jesus without question because having faith in Jesus was a simple, logical conclusion to what he had heard and seen of Him. It is no different for us as believers today, because Jesus is “the same yesterday, today, and forever” (Hebrews 13:8). When we fully accept and recognize the authority that has been given to us through His finished work in the cross and resurrection, and we begin to release the power that stands behind His great and mighty name, then we will begin to see the victory, success, and prosperity in our lives that the Bible promises.
