John 17:17 “Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.” We have had arguments, disagreements and even sometimes Church splits over “sanctification.” I understand that, the enemy will do everything and anything he can do to divide us. The word “sanctify” is really quite simple to understand…it means: “to separate unto,” or “to set apart.”
When you received Jesus as Lord and Savior, you were SEPARATED from the kingdom of darkness INTO the Kingdom of God’s dear Son. You went from one position to another position…form point “a” to point “b.”
This Scripture tells us that God’s Word will SEPARATE us from “stuff” and place us in “the God stuff.” The Word will separate us from bad habits, the word will separate us from bad attitudes and so on…isn’t that wonderful? The Word of God will separate us from the life that is in the world unto the Life that is in Christ Jesus!
