Proverbs 4:5-7, “Get wisdom, get understanding: forget it not; neither decline from the words of my mouth. Forsake her not, and she shall preserve thee: love her, and she shal keep thee. Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all they getting get understanding.” Notice it says “Wisdom is the principal thing, therefore get wisdom.” When the wisdom of God speaks, it speaks the Word of God, because in Luke 11:49 ‘the wisdom of God is the Word.’ So if we substitute “Word of God: in Proverbs 4:5-7, then the scripture would read something like, “……….Get the Word of God…..The Word of God is the principal thing: therefore get the Word of God.”
