Since it was ‘Paul’s thorn in the flesh,’ it would seem logical to me to listen to what Paul said it was: 2 Cor. 2:7, “……………..The messenger of satan to buffet me………” Everywhere that the Apostle Paul went to preach, this evil spirit went before him, behind him and around him stirring up everything it could. So, you may ask why didn’t the great Apostle Paul command the devil to leave the earth? Simple (back to first three chapters of Genesis). The devil has the right to operate here until Adam’s “lease” runs out.
