John 8:12, “Then spake Jesus unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.” People can have eternal life, but if they don’t walk in the light of it, developing themselves… if they don’t take advantage of that life and nature…things won’t turn out right in their lives. We HAVE eternal life, but we have to APPROPRIATE it. We have to walk in the light of it.
