James 1:14, “But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed.” A test or trial is anything that applies pressure on the lusts or desires of the flesh. Any pressure that draws us away from God’s Word is the beginning of a test. If we then act on that lust, sin is the result. Still, we have a way of escape, because the Word says we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ. (1st John 1:9)
