PEOPLE IN VENEZUELA DON’T HAVE TOILET PAPER

I heard a newsperson ask the question: “If socialism was so great, how come the people in Venezuela don’t have toilet paper?

The question may seem a little strange, but in reality, that is a very good question.  Let me start with a statement: SOCIALISM DOES NOT WORK AND NEVER HAS WORKED!   Now I know that most of our “education” venues teach that it does, and that the government will give you everything and it won’t cost you anything.  WOW! where do I sign up?  The simple fact is that if it sounds to good to be true it probably isn’t.  In other words, let me use a term that I was taught by my mother (a few laughing years ago) which was: “there isn’t any free lunch”  even my mother knew that “someone” had to provide it and if no one is working or raising the crops etc., eventually there won’t be any “lunch!”  A Russian pro-life campaigner by the name of Alexey Komov expressed amazement for the support that socialism gets in some quarters in the West even though it has “never worked in world history.” Komov says that the traditional nuclear family is a particular enemy of socialism, he says, because it is the basic institution that preserves values and passes them on to the next generation.  “The state if it wants to dominate life and the individual from birth to death, needs to destroy the family, because the family is independent of the state.”  “As Marx and Engels said, the family is a repressive, bourgeois institution that needs to be destroyed; they need to get rid of its patriarchal power and that of Christianity because they are the main obstacles of the social revolution.”  Our schools don’t teach about the history of socialism such as the “gulags” or writings of Solzhenitsyn or other books on the subject.  Christian Americans who understand a little bit about the history of socialism, know that it would sorely punish the American people and ultimately bring down our nation.  Federal and state governments increasingly violate our sacred, constitutionally protected religious liberties, and socialist politicos are clamoring for costly new free benefit programs while demanding expansion of our existing programs.  We must not allow our nation to become slaves to socialism. Something to think abut!   (2nd Thess. 3:10; 2nd Chron. 7:14)
