Romans 10:8 “But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach;” Another enemy to our faith is MENTAL ASSENT, it agrees with the Bible, that it came from God, and that every Word is true. But when the crisis comes, it does not work. Why? Because the Word never entered into the person’s heart. That is why as Christians, it is important to be in Church where God has placed you….you may have to drive a distance, you may not think the building is the right color….you may have all kinds of “reasons” why you don’t go where the Word is preached, where you are taught how to “grow” in the things of God….it would be wonderful if all you would have to do is sit back and let the Word work like apples falling off of a tree…..BUT IT IS A PROCESS NOT AN EVENT! THE WORD WORKS WHEN WE PUT IT TO WORK!
