There are some enemies to your faith…..they are designed to STOP us operating at the level that God has called and anointed us to walk in …….which is walking, living and operating in the GOD KIND OF FAITH!
Some of the enemies are: Sense knowledge faith, mental assent, fear, doubt and unbelief.
The two that I believe are most prevalent in the local Church are: SENSE KNOWLEDGE FAITH and MENTAL ASSENT.
These two are most deceiving, because they seem or “feel” like faith. Sense knowledge faith says: “When I see it with my natural eyes or when I feel it.” This is built on some natural experience rather than solely on the Word of God. It’s the kind of faith that Thomas had when he said in John 20:25: “Except I shall see in his hands the print of the nails, and put my finger into the print of the nails, and thrust my hand into his side, I will not believe.”
A lot of people have the “Doubting Thomas” kind of faith which says “I’ll believe it when I see it.” BUT, the GOD KIND OF FAITH SAYS….”I’ll see it when I believe it.” Don’t be “doubting Thomas,” develop a trust in the Word of God FIRST. It’s a PROCESS, NOT AN EVENT…..and it takes DISCIPLINE! The benefits far outweigh the journey!
